30 and Counting: SITES Certified Pilot Project List Grows

February 18, 2014 by StudioVerde Filed Under: Blog

Studioverde has been involved with the Sustainable Sites Initiative (SITES™) through outreach and education since 2009. We are very excited to see that the number of SITES certified Pilot Projects recently grew to 30, including two educational facilities: an elementary school that created outdoor classrooms to enhance outdoor play and learning and a university that converted a parking lot into green infrastructure for stormwater treatment.   Many of the measures used by these two and other SITES Pilot Projects can be easily adapted to institutional, commercial and private projects in the Northeast.   For more information you can visit the Sustainable Sites Initiative or contact us at Studioverde if you are interested in pursuing SITES certification for your proposed project!
