Lisa Cowan spoke at a workshop session of the 2013 Think Blue Maine stormwater conference on the subject of green infrastructure, aesthetics and social engagement titled “Green Infrastructure: The Bad, the Ugly and Why Looks Matter”. The conference was held to promote practical strategies to protect and restore water resources in Maine.  Lisa highlighted local and national projects that have integrated green infrastructure into their communities and provided strategies to achieve success locally. Lisa has been speaking and writing on the critical role of aesthetics in sustainable land design and management practices.
