The Old Canada Road Scenic Byway, stretches nearly 78 miles from Solon, Maine to the Canadian border. This scenic corridor seems specifically designed for people who love and appreciate the outdoors. Where the road travels along the Kennebec River, Wyman Lake and on through The Forks, travelers converge, the traveler can experience endless scenic views of amazing waterways and spectacular mountain vistas. Continuing north, the road passes through miles of forestland with ample opportunities for wildlife sightings and upclose views of the great north woods working forest.
Studioverde worked closely with the Scenic Byway Committee members who were looking to develop gateway and local town markers to highlight the unique beauty and scenery of the area. Concepts were developed to provide ideas for discussion and the Committee unanimously voted to accept a concept that included the use of new low maintenance signage materials combined with local granite, natural wood logs and stacked granite (to mimic cairns, which are used as trail markers).
Today Studioverde continues to provide advisory services to the group as they develop overlooks, trails, and mapping.
